This is an argument that has been in debate not just for this generation of games consoles but since the beginning. But what is the best one of this generation, Wii, Xbox 360 or the PS3?

The Wii has sold very well that is without a doubt, but it really doesnt do much for me at all. The major let down is not the console but the games. The Wii has not seen a proper Nintendo game in over a year. This is not a bad idea but Nintendo don’t seem to be making any games for their fans anymore. Nintendo have also rather insultingly announced another Zelda DS game and Mario Galaxy 2 both of which seem to be almost complete copies of the previous edditions.

The PS3 is a good console. Blu-Ray is the only real reason this console has sold and the only reason I purchased it. Free is not always a positive thing. Free can mean only one thing, laggy games and awful servers. The games available just for the PS3 are very poor to Microsoft’s Halo and Gears of War with Uncharted, Metal Gear and Resistance all being very poor games. The PS3 wand seems to be a bit off a rip off from the Wii as well.

The overall experience I recieve from the Xbox seems to be the best which is why it is number one on my list. The games never hardly ever recieve lag simply because you pay for the service. Live recieves many updates that actually do things. Project Natal is also on the way for the Xbox which hopefully will mean only one thing, domination of this generation. Microsoft are still trying to stick to their fans which is always good.
